What is involved in a custom fitting session?
It will usually start with an interview concerning your past playing tendencies and desires for shotmaking improvement from the new clubs along with a detailed analysis of your existing set and a careful analysis of the proposed set.
You will be electronically measured for clubhead speed, swing path and
tempo, with both the driver and 5-iron. With these measurements, plus a
visual observation of your swing fundamentals, flexibility and athletic
ability, various head and shaft combinations will be explained and
recommended. You will be presented with a wide range of grips to choose
from, each of a different texture and feel with the final selection fit
to your comfort.
During the construction of your clubs attention is paid to matching
shaft frequencies, MOI or swingweight, loft and lie tweaking, grip size,
spine aligning, balance point and so on. In some cases, if you desire, a
test club will be build based on the data obtained during the fitting.
